About Dallas ECCE
The Dallas Area Association of Early Childhood Christian Educators was formed in 2020 to serve faith-based preschools and child care centers in the Dallas Area. Our rich history begins in 1965 with a group of Methodist preschool directors. They recognized a need to have directors meet and share information. They also wanted to share in-service opportunities for their teaching staff. As a result, they founded the Methodist Nursery and Kindergarten Association (MNKA). Out of that dream has come a group of schools, directors, and teachers who come from all church denominations as well as non-church affiliated centers for the purpose of networking and professional development of early childhood educators and administrators. In 2019 the membership voted to change the name in order to be more inclusive of all Christian educators and of the changes in the early childhood education field.
The Dallas ECCE has 3 main objectives.
1. To inform, to explore ideas, and to have opportunities to share, to support, and to have fellowship with others interested in early childhood education.
2. To offer training pertinent to the early childhood educator.
3. To promote and support early childhood education legislation and the welfare of young children and their families.
Benefits of Membership
Each year Dallas ECCE offers its members five Directors’ Roundtable meetings (no fee) and a summer workshop for directors (fee) in addition to an elite group of childcare administrators with hundreds of years of experience and a common mission. Dallas ECCE members receive a discount on the participation fee for workshops that have a charge. In addition to being eligible for the workshops, member schools each receive a membership directory in the fall, which aids in networking with other professionals in similar programs.
Director’s Development Lunches
5 meetings typically held Thursdays throughout the year at member schools, hosted by directors
20-30 Attendees
5 hours of training –1 hour per meeting
Director’s Summer Workshop
Typically held in June at a member school
60-70 Attendees
10-12 hours of training
Director’s Meetups
Build Relationships informally by meeting up with a group of fellow directors. The locations will vary throughout the Dallas suburbs. We typically meet in the evening or on a Sunday afternoon.

Hundreds of Years of Experience
We have administrators with as much as 40 years of experience. If you are new to child care administration, you can have access to years of experience with a simple email. If you have been around for a while, you know that we are a tight knit group who share both passion for childcare and passion for Christ! Stop going it alone and join this elite group of childcare administrators.
Calendar of Events
Members can join us for our events throughout the year. Seeds for Fall Planting teacher training is in August. Director Meetups will be communicated via member email. Director’s Summer Training is in June.
Education Scholarships
As an added bonus Dallas Area Association of Early Childhood Christian Educators offers scholarships to help financially support our members. A maximum of $1000 per school per school year is available to assist with teacher training requests. Dallas ECCE has established a scholarship fund to assist its member teachers in continuing education.
